“The whole point of being an artist is to learn about yourself. The photographs, I think, are less important than the life that one is leading”. -Robert Mapplethorpe.
This quote is something that’s stuck with me over the years since the first time I read it. Over the years as I’ve watched my photography evolve and change in so many different areas, I always assumed it was the repetition and practice that had caused the change, however, I now know it wasn’t just my photography that changed, every aspect of my life also changed at each of these periods. I have been very fortunate to in my opinion always have surrounded myself with some of the best friends you could find on this planet. So this section of my website is for them, everyone has different definitions of what makes life beautiful and what beauty is. For me, it’s the people I’ve surrounded myself with and the memories we’ve created.
Here is a collection of Film Photos from over the years of various events with various people. There are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken in this collection and I’m overjoyed to share them all with you. For everyone who sees a photo of them self in this bunch, I know I’m not a vocal person but taking this kind of photo is my way of saying I love you.
All photos have been taken on a Canon Sureshot on various 35mm film stocks
